Happy New Year everyone! Well I am about a week late but hey, I did something to celebrate. :) This one took a couple or at the most, three days and it's actually one of my first attempts on a full digital painting (well besides the fireworks..those were brushes I downloaded) without showing outlines. I think it turned out better than expected since I was just experimenting.

I researched the Chinese calendar and it turned out that it was the Water Dragon this year so I made the dragon colored blue. I thought of adding fins to it to make it more suited for marine life but then I figured it would be better to keep the fur like those in the scroll images. I made the dragon just a TINY bit realistic. Unfortunately, I notice now that the tail looks just a bit unnatural due to the sudden change of body size from hip to tail.

By the way, I do NOT believe that we are going to die this year. No one can predict stuff like that. Just look at all the predictions that people made. Did they happen? No! Why? We're not dead.
I'm just waiting for Jesus to come and take me out of this world.

Oh and I honestly don't believe in all the horoscope stuff even in Chinese. I just think it's fun to work with and be inspired by it.
